Crafted with both natural and flower petal styles, these envelopes are a great way to send a wedding announcement or a special note.
Artisans in Nepal have been crafting lokta paper for over one-thousand years. The paper comes from the inner bark of lokta bushes which grow high in the Himalayan Mountains.
Cuttings from the lokta bush are cooked into a pulpy mash and then spread by hand over boxed screens and set out to dry in the Himalayan sun. The fibers fuse creating one of the world’s most unique papers.
When cut, the bushes quickly regrow, making lokta paper an eco-friendly, tree-free paper.

These lokta envelopes are made to fit our deckle-edge lokta inserts, both 5×7 and 4×6 inch sizes and are available in cornflower and natural styles.
Lokta paper can be used with both laser and inkjet printers. It’s recommend printing one envelope at a time and using the heavier paper setting if available for best results.
The 5×7″ envelopes exterior dimensions measure 5.5×7.5 inches to accomodate paper variances.
The 4×6″ envelopes exterior dimensions measure 4.5×6.5 inches. Some slight variance can occur due to the handmade nature.
The self-seal strip under the closure flap secures the envelope contents.
