Made for handmade cards
A little larger, on purpose
Handmade paper has deckled edges that wander a little, so our 5 × 7 envelopes are made a little larger than standard. The 5 × 7 envelope measures 5.5 × 7.5 inches, a touch roomier than a standard A7 (5.25 × 7.25), and takes a deckle-edged 5 × 7 card without folding or forcing. The 4 × 6 envelope measures 4.75 × 6.5 inches.
They are made to fit our deckle-edge lokta card stock, and the self-seal strip under the flap closes them without glue or water.

Printing and sending
Can I print addresses on them?
Yes, on laser and inkjet printers. Print one envelope at a time and use the heavier paper setting if your printer has one.
How do they close?
With the self-seal strip under the flap: peel it and press. No licking, no glue.
Will my card fit?
A 5 × 7 card, deckled edges and all, slides into the 5 × 7 envelope without folding; a 4 × 6 card or photo fits the 4 × 6.

Artisans in Nepal have been crafting lokta paper for over one-thousand years. The paper comes from the inner bark of lokta bushes which grow high in the Himalayan Mountains.
Cuttings from the lokta bush are cooked into a pulpy mash and then spread by hand over boxed screens and set out to dry in the Himalayan sun. The fibers fuse creating one of the world's most unique papers.
When cut, the bushes quickly regrow, making lokta a renewable, tree-free paper.

Lokta paper can be used with both laser and inkjet printers. It's recommended to print one envelope at a time and use the heavier paper setting if available for best results.
The 5x7" envelopes exterior dimensions measure 5.5x7.5 inches to accommodate paper variances.
The 4x6" envelopes exterior dimensions measure 4.75x6.5 inches. Some slight variance can occur due to the handmade nature.
The self-seal strip under the closure flap secures the envelope contents.
